Roses are Red Scrapbook

Recently, I was inspired by a video produced by Kaliscrappin.  I saw her use the Rosewood Paper collection put out by Colorbok.  I had this paper around the house.  I had purchased it from walmart a while back.  I used bits and pieces of the scrapbook but I never used all the pages.  In her video, she used all the pages.  I really felt inspired to go back to that stack of paper and make a scrapbook.

The scrapbook is actually an mini made out of manila envelopes.  The cover is made out of cereal box cardboard with lace for the binding.  I also made a matching box out of cereal box cardboard to protect the mini.

This project didn't cost a lot of money.  In fact, I already had the manila envelopes and the cereal box was free.  As for the scrapbook paper, I brought it a while ago from Walmart, but I think it was only $5.00 for the pack.

God bless, Chan

Altered Floral Box

Here's an altered box I did recently.  I had to use my webcam today because I was having a hard time uploading videos from my HD camera.  In a way, I'm glad it happen because now I know how to upload directly to youtube. This is good to know.  All the pictures of this box is at my blog.

Home Made Ribbon Spools

Recently, I ordered some ribbon from ebay.  I got it at a very good price.  However, it was shipped without a spool.  A lot of shippers do this to save on shipping.  But a lot of times, if you leave the ribbon folded, it will have bends and creases in it and they will show up when you try to use them on your scrapbook or on tags.  To resolve this, I came up with a way to make my own ribbon spools.
You can make them too.

Toilet Paper or Paper Towel Rolls
White or Cream Cardstock Paper
Tacky Glue
Scotch Tape
Scrapbook paper of your choice
Decoupage Glue
Distress Ink (optional)
